The Pictorial Foundation is honored to welcome Teatro SEA, New York City's Latino theatre company, for a special presentation of The Colors of Frida.
Written and directed by Manuel Antonio Morán, this award winning production celebrates the remarkable life, imagination, and artistic legacy of Frida Kahlo through puppetry, music, dance, poetry, and storytelling. More than a biography, it is a vibrant celebration of Mexican culture, artistic expression, resilience, and the enduring power of creativity.
Before the show, families are also invited to participate in a hands-on puppet making workshop (tickets sold separately) inspired by the traditions of Día de los Muertos, encouraging creativity while introducing participants to the rich artistic heritage and symbolism of Mexico.
Presented as part of the Foundation's commitment to multicultural programming, The Colors of Frida celebrates the voices, histories, and traditions that enrich our community while creating meaningful artistic experiences for audiences of every generation.
