This work explores the layered strength of womanhood through portraiture, collage, and expressive mark-making. Emerging from fragments of brick, lace, and pattern, the central figure reflects the structures, histories, and expectations that shape and confine women’s identities. Torn materials and textured surfaces suggest resilience through rupture, while her direct gaze asserts presence, autonomy, and emotional depth. Graffiti-inspired lines and vibrant color disrupt conventional notions of femininity, reclaiming space with urgency and confidence. By placing softness against rawness and delicacy against strength, the work honors women as complex individuals, creators, survivors, and forces of transformation.
