Luis Fonseca is a multidisciplinary artist who holds a BA in Photography from the City College of New York. His practice develops through chance encounters, memory, and ideas that emerge through making rather than from predetermined outcomes. Working across photography, cyanotype, digital image manipulation, woodworking, and sculpture, Luis allows the qualities of each material to guide the direction and form of the work. His process brings photographic and object-based methods into dialogue, creating space for intuition, experimentation, and unexpected connections. Luis is a recipient of the Bronx Council on the Arts’ 2025 BRIO Award.
