My process centers on intuitive layering as a way to complicate singular narratives and reveal the tension between surface and depth. I work from an evolving personal archive of images — photographs, textures, ephemera, documents, and drawn marks — that I combine digitally through successive blends, allowing multiple histories and emotional registers to coexist within a single image. Layers are added and flattened gradually, some remaining visible while others recede, reflecting how experiences are both revealed and concealed over time. Once the composite image resolves, I refine it digitally before producing an archival print, which is mounted to wood panel and finished by hand. Materials and finishing choices are integral to the work, reinforcing ideas of endurance, fragility, and persistence rather than polish or perfection.
