I am a French interdisciplinary artist based in Brooklyn, and a recent School of Visual Arts graduate. I developed a practice in which the work’s aesthetics emerge organic from my conceptual objectives, with a particular interest and fascination for disguise and costuming. Through performance, film, and photography, I continually explore ideas related to the body as a way to examine portrayals of myself, as well as recognizable cultural, social, and political figures.

Portraiture became a tool for me to fluidly move between clichés with ambiguity and humor. By manipulating my appearances, I aim to compel the viewer to reflect about the posturing and modeling of the original source. This ability to shape shift and use my own body to craft fictional characters has been a crucial approach in my practice. It operates within the tension between reality and constructed fiction.

For this project, I chose to start from an intimate element, rarely associated with identity or art: urine. Yet, pissing figures have been a part of art history since the 13th century, offering a fascinating reflection on gender dynamics deeply embedded in our societies. My intention with 'Veni Vidi Pipi' is to question this personal and intimate act by confronting it with artificial intelligence, a system that infiltrates our most intimate spaces under the guise of convenience, and neutrality. The work unfolds as a multistage investigation, leading to the final visual form of photographs and spectrograms.
