A re-imagining of Black women’s power within the universe. The intent behind the work is to place an archival cyanotype of an African American woman within a context outside of the actual time and place in which the photograph was created. Instead of viewing this woman as mostly poor and rural, which is the original environment, the photograph transmits her to an unspecified time and place where her power is restored and glorious.
